Product Description


MoSi2 heating elements is made by comprehension production technique in domestic and abroad, meanwhile by adopting advanced producing technology. MoSi2 heating elements is a high temperature component with MoSi2 as its basic material . If it can be correctly use. I.E. Combining completely with heat model , the highest temperature can up to 1850­°C. MoSi2 heating elements is brittleness  and hardness under high temperature meanwhile Bend strength is lower than usual . Because the plasticity of elements will become soft above 1350ºC . elements can be curved and form wished shape under high temperature.Elements is used in high temperature under the oxidizing atmosphere, its surface form a light SiO2 glass film which can protect the element not to be oxidized.

Advantages

 

Mosi2 heating element can quickly form a thin and adhesive anti-oxidizing layer of quartz glass(Sio2), under the high temperature oxidizing condition. If the protective layer was damaged, the element can reform a new one, so Mosi2 heating element has a very good anti-oxidation properties, it also means that the heating element can be used on operation for a much longer time than the traditional one.
The resistivity of the Mosi2 heating element is not changing with the time, so a new one can be installed without effecting the old one, this can result of huge saving in furnace maintenance fee sand time as well, increase the working efficiency, this is the key point of Mosi2 heating element being a better material and being widely used.

Chemical Properties

Oxygen-resistance under high temperature: in oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz (SiO2) protective film is formed on the surface of element owing to the high-temperature combustion, which prevent Mosi from continuously oxidizing. When the element temperature is higher than 1700ºC, the SiO2 protective film will be fused because fused because its fusing point is 1710ºC and the SiO2 is fused into molten drops owing to the action of its surface extension, which cause losing its protective ability. In the oxidizing atmosphere, when the element is contiguously used, the protective film forms again.
It should be pointed out that element cannot be used for rather long time in 400-700ºC. Otherwise, it will be powdered owing to the strong oxidizing action in low temperature.


 
Installation Instructions

 

Installation of mosi2 heating element
1)Vertically hanging
Under normal temperature, MoSi2 element is very brittleness, while under high temperature, it is plasticity, so the better way to install U Shape element is to hang it vertically from the furnace top through the support clamping chuck. The aim of such way is to avoid putting the mechanical stress directly to the element heat-generating end; otherwise the element will easily be broken.

2) Support clamp
Support clamp are applied to 9/18 and 6/12 two kinds of elements respectively. The support clamp supports the whole weight of the element and the position of the element is also determined by it, therefore, it must be installed carefully to assure the element vertically hung. In order to prevent the element from being over heated locally, the taper part of the element lower end must put into the furnace chamber.
