Molybdenum disilicide heating element is a resistance heating element based on molybdenum silicide, which is heated to high temperatures in an oxidizing atmosphere and generates a dense quartz glass film on its surface to protect it from further oxidation. Therefore, it has unique high temperature oxidation resistance. In oxidizing atmosphere, its maximum temperature can reach 1800ºC, and its applicable temperature is 500~1700ºC, which can be used as heating elements for ceramics, magnetic materials, glass, metallurgy, refractory materials, and other industrial high temperature furnaces.
Generally divided into straight and curved shapes. It can be customized into a variety of shapes and sizes, all components have a long life and consistent performance characteristics.
It can be widely used in such applications as sintering and heat treatment of ceramics, magnet, glass, metallurgy, refractory, etc.
Mosi2 heating element can quickly form a thin and adhesive anti-oxidizing layer of quartz glass(Sio2), under the high temperature oxidizing condition. If the protective layer was damaged, the element can reform a new one, so Mosi2 heating element has a very good anti-oxidation properties, it also means that the heating element can be used on operation for a much longer time than the traditional one.
The resistivity of the Mosi2 heating element is not changing with the time, so a new one can be installed without effecting the old one, this can result of huge saving in furnace maintenance fee sand time as well, increase the working efficiency, this is the key point of Mosi2 heating element being a better material and being widely used.
